You have some very good shots in those albums there. You should select some and hot-link them here to make it easier for all to see.
Will be going there in mid-Oct myself.

if u can see the snow-capped mountains without clouds, u r considered very very lucky... the top only appear less than 30 days a year.. and most of the time only 1 - 2 hours a day..
choose the rite season, better to go after raining season in early winter...

I just came back from there not long ago as well, man tell me about the weather! It was either raining or gloomy most of the time, luckily the sun appeared the day we reach shangrilla... you havve got really nice photos there, most of mine is colourless due to the gloomy weather, were you with a group tour or on your own?

Thanks for sharing

I am planning a trip myself next Spring but going via Hanoi-Hekou-Kunming-Lijiang-Dali and back. Much much cheaper that way.

Heh, I had 2 days of brilliant clear weather.
The MeiliXueShan range is one of the most impressive ranges I've seen.

We were at the viewing platform at 7am....supposed to watch the "sun shine on golden mountain" view....end up seeing "cloud cover mountain" view .... later in the morning, the clouds even covered up the viewing platform area...and the drive back was really scary with visibility of only a few meters.
