Talking Macro shots from a newbie

My virgin macro shots.

*can't really consider them as macro, more like close ups....*

Please comment to help me improve? Needs lotsa guidance.

Canon EOS30 w. 420EX (with bounce)
Canon EF 28-105 II USM (with +4 filter)
Tripod mounted, Manual setting

these are not macro shots ... they are closeup shots

try to use partial spot to meter the flower ...

Partial spot?? how to?? Yeah, got to admit, it's really just close-ups.... not even close to being macro

Heh heh... coz it's a good macro lens... actually I wanted to ask if the next time you are heading down to BG, can maybe inform so can pick up some skills from you?
