Took leave to relax - watching Grey Heron at Selatar Area. Here are some pics:

Anyway, just wanted to say something here if you don't mind: Pic 1: Loved the way you managed to capture the Heron spreading its wings while it was kind of "tip-toeing". Its a real pity that it wasn't facing your direction and part of its wing tips were cropped off. Pic 2: A victim of distracting vegetation (not that they are still green ).. I couldn't help but wonder if it were possible to shoot this at a lower angle to minimise the way the branches were "merging" with the Heron. |

- Yes it's a pity the wing's are cropped, ironically it came "too close" and no time to take out the 2xTC or change lens to the 300mm.. - Agreed the vegetation was irritating, I was waiting for the tide to go down and for it to walk away but probably impatience. Also cannot get lower cos me and equipment will be salty and wet ![]()
