does anyone own the Sony Cyber Shot DSC-T30? i read the reviews of the camera in some sites like cnet, dpreview.com.. but this is the headache of reading reviews. u never get the satisfied answer to ur desire. what i mean is when u're convinced that it is a gd camera, but when u read the reviews, u read about the faults some pple point out (who actually own the particular brand and model) and u start doubting the funtctions, the pros about the camera.
i'm not as pro as some who are when comes to digital cameras. but what bothers me quite a bit will be the level of noise produced when ISOs are set at higher degree. at a review site, someone tested on the ISOs and make a comparisons between all. for e.g: http://review.zdnet.com/Sony_Cyber_S...-31813563.html do all digital cameras perform like that at diff ISOs or is this just one of the worst?? do i need to be bothered at such? or what are the main features/functions that i shld be aware of when getting a digicam? hope u can advise. thank u! |

The issue of noise at high ISO must be read in the right context. As far as Sony is concerned, the T30 is the best noise performer in their T-series at the time of its launch. It is better than many of the older digicams of other brands but still not the best when compared to the class leaders. It also has a few very desireable features like optical stabilisation and a very large and bright 3" LCD screen.
Many people buy the T-series because of the looks and the ultra-compactness of the camera and don't give 2 hoots about their noise performance at high ISOs. If noise performance at high ISOs is the No. 1 consideration for you, then I would advise that you give the T30 a miss and go for the Fuji cameras or even some of the newer cameras of other brands that claim to have low noise performance at high ISOs. And to help you to decide ... or maybe to add to your confusion, this is my comparison of the performance of the T30 at high ISOs: http://forums.clubsnap.org/showthread.php?t=219723 ![]()

hmm...T10 is slimmer and more choices of color...i tink the only diff between t10 and t30 is the color availability, screen size and batt life...t30 has a wider screen and can take up to 400shots/charge..while a t10.. 200shots/charge ...t30 has a half inch wider screen...the rest abt the same...
