My A100 die liao

yesterday when I tried to plugin my cf card to take photo, the camera tell me the card not readable so must format, so I press the "YES" button. But when format finished, it still tell me unable to read the card.

So I try the MS with CF adptor. Still the same.

Now have to bring down to service center.

Try setting to factory default and try again.

Try reading the card from the PC/MAC, if ok means camera problem. That's bad, how old is your A-100 and which CF card are you using ?

Finally after go to Sony Service centre & have some operation. Now is back to take photo again.

The reason : the pin in the slot broke!!!

So to all A100 user, please slot in the card softly & gently.

Those pins are tough, did you remember forcing your CF card into it ? Did SONY ask you to pay for repair, considering it's usage issue ?

no, they never ask anything so i just collect and go off. overall service at the counter i give "above average"

I agree! Sony Customer Service is fantastic (in my opinion). Fixed my Dead 5D in less than 4 working days!!! Sent to Wisma Atria on Saturday evening, collected on Thursday evening.

Last time KM... ... wait long long, and open only during office hours. Have to take leave (or MC) to go the service center.

Yeah, one thing I like about SONY SC is more flexible hour.

What happen to your cam. KM5D although plastic body, a very tough camera ?

antishake mechanism died on me at RSAF Open House. Other than this, no problem

The other way round: wait until got MC then go down to KMSC.

Now soooooo much better.... ....

In fact, last night i just went down to SCC after work to drop of 2 old Maxxum lenses for repair. Really great.
