I just got a new LCD. The colour is not as good as CRT. Any one knows the problem?

a cheap CRT is likely to be better than a cheap LCD. prob is usu the LCD backlight is dimmer than a CRT

calibrate? I do not have the monitor calibrator. I just got a new LCD colour does not look and good as CRT. The LCD seem very bright.

LCD is not the way to go if you want optimal viewing of images. One thing I dun like about some LCDs is that bright areas look ok on CRT but appear washed out on LCD. Also, images can look over sharpened.
If space is a critcial issue for u, or u are not exactly serious about image quality and want style, by all means, go for LCD. Else I feel there's no reason not to prefer CRT. |
