Default Need advice...

Hi, took a few IR shots yesterday and while doing the normal PP, I found that all the pics have grainy sky. I am using a D70 with kit lens and a R72 filter. ISO used was 200, aperture f5.6, shutter speed 1/2sec. Can anyone give me some advice please

What happened? This pic is so much different from your previous shoot at Fort Canning.

Looks like it was shot on a dull day. Did you push up the levels too much during your PP?

D70 at iso200 should not be so noisy. On dull days, try doing a +0.7ev to +1.0ev but this is going to make your shutter speed slower. So watch out for wind and camera shake.

Try again and share you results.

Hi teerex, thanks for replying.
Took the shot yesterday and the sky was indeed quite dull. I will take note of your advice. Thanks

Please remember to cover the viewfinder when taking the exposure. Stray light will cause the meter to under-expose.
