It is NOT ILLEGAL to take photograph of a private non-protected building outside of it's private grounds.

So you can shoot a building from the footpath right in front of the guard and you're not doing anything wrong.

Hi vince123123 and the rest of concerned fellow photographers,

If you are interested to view the pictures. Its best you contact the photographer himself, Drumma

I have nothing against shooting controversial pictures, only against posting/exhibiting in places where there are a lot of young people around. It should not be seen as a norm and young people should not be encouraged to follow such trends.

Drumma must be a young chap. Hence, we should exercise a consultative approach to educate him on this matter. I am sure he has learnt a very valuable lesson on this matter. There is a lot of difference between talking and putting things into action. You can critique others or even put down others but when you show pictures like that. You have to be responsible for any consequences.

I am not posting anymore on this matter. Since any action will attract unnecessary attention.

Cheers and have a nice day,

Cheers and have a nice day,
I was staying out of this debate deliberately as everyone knows my stand on freedom of expression, and what posts ought to be allowed - everything.

However, what Tuck Loong said in his latest post, it's absolutely garbage. I don't give a damn what Drumma posted, however, and I quote again, "Drumma must be a young chap. Hence, we should exercise consultative approach to educate him on this matter." This is stepping way over the line. We live in a nanny state, and are you suggesting we should make CS into a nanny forum?

Drumma may post whatever him feels like it, the admin can take it down if they deemed the post offensive, I can complain that the admin is curbing freedom of expression, but to educate someone, of course, freedom of expression will give you the podium to say whatever you want, but to educate?

If Drumma's action was in fact offensive, which I disagree, however, we in the forum at best may expression our opinions and maybe we may even slam him for his actions, but to educate? Everyone is responsible for his/hers actions, and to learn from their own errors and successes, it's a personal thing, not the responsibility of fellow forum members. to educate, isn't that a gross inflation on one's self-importance?

On another note, I quote again, "I have nothing against shooting controversial pictures, only against posting/exhibiting in places where there are a lot of young people around. It should not be seen as a norm and young people should not be encouraged to follow such trends." What hyprocracy! If you have nothing against something, why do you have a problem exhibiting that sonmething?

Btw, in a nanny state, all too often, people who ought to be responsible, deferred their responsibility to the government, to the society, to others. If infact the pictures in question are so henious, that we must keep them from the eyes of the young and naive, who shoulo\d be responsibile for seeing this happenning?

In a nanny state, it's someone else, the government, the society, the board admin, the poster, the other person. In a normal state, the parents would have instill the appropriate values onto their children, and the parents will supervise the access to the net, not the poster of an image.

For god skate, we are artists.

It is all linked to human nature.

Although, puritanism (which is also human) denies it!

For those whom do not know what happened or have viewed his works that is questionable. Please refrain from taking sides. It will only create more problems for Drumma by directing unnecessary attention on what he has done...

Remember this guys. Even though the moderator has removed the offending thread. It does not meant he has not posted before and it does not mean he has not committed a offence by posting what he did. Ignorance is not a effective excuse.

It will be best to just let this be a postive lesson to him and let him move on.

I have just seen the works in question - I'm not sure that it really contravenes the Undesirable Publications Act - but well, that's just one opinion against another.
