Comex deal E500 still ON at Alan Photo,SL (S$1399)

Hi, The comex deal is still valid at Alan Photo S$1399. with all the freebies.
2 x 2GB, Tripod, Batt, Bag, Drybox, Blower, and some CDs.
Do you think is worth it to get it. pls help to give some urgent advise.

YES! IT is definately a value for money camera now.. with all the items thrown in....

Unless your really keen to wait for a new model that might be coming out soon...

I thought someone jus spotted Funan's Harvey Norman with a similar package?

But i think its 2 x 1GB CF rather than Alan's 2 x 2GB CF...

Less the blower, BUT with the extended warranty... same price...

Do shops like MS Color, Alan Photo and Cathay do Extended Warranty???

HN giving 2 normal 1 GB cards, AP 2 Elite pro 2 GB which is worth twice as much.
Not forgetting the extra original batt in AP's package which is worth $100+.
Then again, I reckon HN's 2 years extra warranty should be worth $100+ as well.

As i am new to DSLR. If only AP can bundle in the Extended Warranty. then it will be a super good deal. Pardon me for 1 silly Question. the Extended Warranty will be with Olympus itself or with third parties.

Yes,AP come with 2 lens kit.

Hi,

The extended warranty will still be with Olympus...
Olympus will still repair ur camera, just that they will obtain payment from Harvey Norman instead...
This was the case for my old C-720UZ... thus i feel the extended warranty is pretty important...

my 2 cents...

I didn't know that... but then again.... i haven't own a DSLR yet...

So this CCD cleaning and servicing that is FOC during warranty period... is it included as well under 3rd party extended warranty like Harvey Norman's?

OR only applies within the 1st yr warranty given by Olympus?

BAH.. I bought E-500 from Alan Photo 16 Sept 2006, But i only got 1 CF 2GB and not orginal extra baterry. And it all cost S$ 1399 too.

They cheat me !!

What was advertised on their advertisements?
It's blatant fraud if you didn't get exactly what was advertised.

AP Funan or AP Sim Lim?

As for original vs OEM accessories, I usually will attempt to check the boxed contents first and not let it out of my sight during payment. Been cheated by handphone sellers too (gave non-original batteries).
