Hi all, it was nice meeting you during the outing. I was struggling with my not-wide-enough lens and the different-from-everyone-else IR filter.
Your kind advice on how to improve will be much appreciated. ![]() ![]() |

That's a start, and anyway it wasn't a good day for IR shoot.
As for your pics, here're my observatios: You have too much Cyan in the pics this making almost the whole scene having a bluish tint. Could be your CWB slightly off, can try resetting it again on a brighter day and try again. Pics are a bit too soft to show details, my preference is slightly more sharpness. Lack of contrast to give depth. As I said could be your CWB. I took the liberty to adjust one of your pics to try to rid the Cyan, give the sky a bit of blue, reduced the red tint in the leaves and added a curve to try to bring up some contrast. Not a very good attempt, don't kknow if you like it but just to show you can further adjust your pic. The blue tint on the trunk of the ![]() |

Hi Teerex, thank you for your pointers. I loved your version.
The points about the contrast and sharpness is noted. I posted this as soon as i figured out how to do a channel mixing with GIMP and forgotten about them. May i find out from you on how to remove the tint in the leaves? And is the cyan and blue done by altering the saturation? Thank you! |

I guess that Redstar202 has to reset the CWB. After the help of Teerex the pic is still bluish.
