Default Roz & Drew

Rozlynn and Andrew's wedding was one of the most fun to shoot for me this 2nd half of the year. They met in Singapore but live in the U.K. We had wonderful light on their wedding day and everrrrry one was fun to be around with. Even the bride's maids who dressed up like presents.....that i can't open.=P

I managed to sneak 10mins into the MEN's domain and capture rozlynn's kids and the groom

The reception was fun, the guest were all goofing off infront of the camera *which made my life easier haha*

These people really really knew how to party!!!

I like the honest documentry approach to it - doesn't mean wedding photos must have the cliche stuffs like walk-in, and u've showed the fun side of it.

Not many of my couples like true documentry style where u honestly capture what happened that day, e.g. some couples don't like shots of them smoking, I even had couples who request for cigarette boxes to be PS'd away because not 'glamourous'.

Don't we all wish we have couples like that ?

hi stephen, i do agree with you but thats where meeting up with couples is so important for them to understand the work YOU want to shoot. i don't shoot or claim full documentary style. it also depends if u want ur work to make a difference or do you want to follow what mainstream weddings "cliche" are like. my $0.02

eadwine: certainly, all these are communicated to couple, they know my style, how I shoot, etc. I don't think we should let couples sign blindly on the contract until they've spend time looking through it (on average, couples that are interested would spend like 2-3 hours in my office before signing).

Just so happened that when it comes to choosing the pictures they want in their album, they asked for cigeratte box to be removed (i just cropped it off), not because it is distracting, but they don't "look nice in wedding album". Even if that particular part of the story that involves the cigarette box is evocative, it's a no-no. They might understand what I want to shoot, but when it comes to selecting of photos, it's a different story.

On hindside, do you let couples choose the pictures they want in their albums for actual day wedding? Or narrow down the photos the couple should choose? Eg. A photo that is very distinctive of you style may not be what the couple like. Just want to hear your $0.02 on that...

Dude, honestly, we all know we can never ever change the way our couples want. We can only provide services to our best capability. everyone is different i guess,

ok, my couples choose the photos but that doesnt stop us from recommending photos. Technically I can't complain, I'm happy where I am considering the time that I've been into the industry. We cannot rush but can only be patient.
