Default Where to obtain a thermometer?

Hi,

I was wondering if anybody on CS had any idea where I can obtain a thermometer? I broke my current one and I need a replacement. Ruby sells some, but I don't think they are the cheapest, are they?

Hmm... Daiso is a bit far, I don't stay in the proximity of Jurong. Anywhere nearer?

You can buy a decent digital thermometer for less than $10 at the basement level of Sim Lim Tower. Accuracy is +/- 1 degree.

Try Cathay or Ruby. Best to get the metal dial type, then you won't break it anymore. It's easier to read also... and you don't need batteries.

I'd got a mercury type thermal meter at NTUC FairPrice, Bishan. i.e. S$2. But, the scale about 2 degrees out. anway, S$2 stuff, dun expect much from it.

just use it as guide is sufficient.

From my experience, all thermometers do not show the same temperatures! Just go and check a batch of thermometers - they range from negligible to 2 degrees off from what I've seen. I just picked a lucky one that wasn't too "off" from the rest.

Just use those toys as a guide - the same way you'd use the numbers off digitaltruth.com as a guide.

True... after some time you tend to just tembak at everything. temperature, amount of agitation, time for developing. I take all those variables down on a notebook and I was surprised the other day that I had the same film type developed at the same temp but almost 1 minute difference in time due to some strange cockup (10%?) and still got more or less the same result...

On temp, anyway, once you pour the water into the container and shake it around, I'm sure the temp is going to move a little anyway. So +- 1 or 2C is probably normal.
