Default interchangeable memory cards?

Let's say i load the SM card and the CF card at the same time. According to my cam settings, the images will first be captured into the SM card.

Will images be automatically saved into the CF card once the SM card is full?

In the first place, can i load them at the same time?

Thanks for any input!!

Are you refering to your Fujifilm 602Z? My Olympus C-5050Z can take both SM and CF card simultaneously. I can switch between these two cards easily by pressing a button. But unfortunately it will not switch over to the another card once the former is full.

yes, am using the 602Z. I bought the SM card originally, now thinking of getting additional CF cards to complement the SM. However, not sure of members' experience with loading 2 cards at the same time.

Technically, should not be a problem, the camera should automatically switch to the next available media after 1 is full. This is what i think because when i set the camera to read CF, it disregards if only SM card is loaded, so it seems "automatic"..

Just not sure is there are any side effects long term..

Hey Fruity!

Yes, you can load 2 cards at the same time. But my experience with it is such that you need to using your setting buttons to switch between the 2 media.

No other issues cropped up during the shoot with 2 cards.

Thanks mate, by the way, nice seeing you yesterday, it was great!!

So what i understand is this: it is Ok to load 2 cards, but must manually toggle the slots..

That's one. thanks! Ever heard of a CF card branded "Solutions"? Am thinking of getting one 256MB, 20X speed, dont know if it will go with the 602Z or will i get some nastiness from it...?

Will just loading it and trying it confirm its compatibility?

Thanks!

Yeap. You can also fill up half you SM and then switch over to the CF with no problems at all (although i wouldn't think anyone would want to do that).
