Default Sigma 70-200mm f/2.8 DG Macro

what is your opinion on the above new lens from Sigma? comparing it to the Nikon AF-D 80-200mm f/2.8, which gives better overall performance?

i have the Nikon model (2-touch) and am considering getting the Sigma. is it worth the change?

appreciate serious feedback and not some market-talk. cheers.

u want to sell a Nikkor for a 3rd party lens? huh?
i rather u save up & get the 70-200VR with AFS that can rival sigma's HSM if thats what u're thinking..

Its a little soft at F2.8 and tends to hunt a bit under low light situation. aside to that, it sis sharp enough.

The Nikkors (80-200 & 70-200VR) perform much better under both circumstances.

One issue that I face is that usually, the output of the lens ia a bit too warm to my liking.

U should try it before u make up your decision
