Default Potential 1.7x teleconverter for the 602Z on the cheap!

Canon has a 1.7x teleconverter, TC-DC58N, listed at S$189, meant for G3. It probably can be used on the 602Z without much problem! Someone willing to try? It might be as good as the B300. You just need the proper step-up ring (step up to 58mm).

try it out loh. I don't have the camera and the lens on the 7Hi is bigger than the 602Z or the G3. This could caused vignetting even at full optical zoom.

Hmm..I see CA away from the image centre, sharpness seems pretty ok though, with minimal corner softening.

This can be had for ~$150 at Cathay Photo. They have no stock though when I went down to check.

The 2nd row of planes right? How bad is it compared to the raynox 1850?

Can't really tell for sure without a direct comparison of the same subject, but I've seen some really terrible shots from the Raynox on just normal scenery in sunny weather. The links were from someone's pbase account posted in Dpreview abt 2-3 months back.

I'd think that the Canon seems better though.

haven't read all the responses but seems that there's some vignetting.
