wif e sigma 17-70, together wif my 70-200f4L, i wld haf covered frm 17-200 (27.2-320).. together wif a fast lens (50 f1.8) and a macro (tamron 90), all tis wld be gd enuf for outdoor shots. e tamron 17-50 wld be better in low light and indoor shots.. but i realized i seldom shoot at large aperture. outdoor nid nt really requrie f2.8.. |

maybe you will want to look at your pass work and see if you shoot a lot of photos at f2.8? if not maybe 17-70 is a better choice for its extra 20mm Last edited by ExplorerZ; 17th September 2006 at 10:46 AM. |

on a cropped sensor, 24mm is not exactly very wide. people do shoot beautiful landscapes with tele zooms, but i think that having wider lenses would be helpful. the sigma 24-60 is a good piece of glass.but if i were in your shoes, i'd go for the tamron 17-50 instead.
it's wider and sharp enough wide open at f/2.8 |

looking at ur current setup, ill get the 17-50mm tamron. simply for the f/2.8 constant aperture. optics wise, should be quite similar. the gap from 50mm to 70mm...just walk (:
