    Default High and Dry

Hi all, this is my first post in C&C.

Taken in Bali, with 350D and EF-S 10-22.

Would appreciate any comments and advice on how to improve. Thanks in advance!

the anchor is not big enough to dominate the photo.

btw, i thought should be "low and dry" ha ha ha.
photography makes one sees things from all angles.

I think capturing the S-curve in this photo would be the main point instead of the anchor. Perhaps you could try to PP it to be higher contrast, B&W, boost the highlights a lil and burn the chain a lil. Might work out.

My personal preferance, not intended to alter this image in anyway.

    Cheers.

actually, yes i've done a B&W version of that..but i found that the boat tends to disappear into the background..

maybe i should have taken it at a lower angle to bring hte boat out

Its a little hard to bring the focus on the boat cos in the foreground there is sth that is comparingly larger then the boat itself already. If u have a relook at the image, what would be the first thing that captures ur eye?
