Hey guys...was browsing and came across the technique / tool known as HDR (High Dynamic Range) imaging....so thought i'd share it with you guys.
Could be something old to some of you....but if you're interested, well could be something new to spice up (or complicate) your PP techniques again. hahaa Here's a sample i just did...but it's based on a single raw file, so it's not really that accurate. As the correct method should be doing your own bracketing. Example 1: - Created different jpgs based on different exposure settings - Created HDR image via Photomatix - Post processed in Photoshop using IR Action ![]() Example 2: - Created different jpgs based on different exposure settings (same jpg as above) - Post process IR action in photoshop on all images - Combine and process in Photomatix - Hue and Saturation in Photoshop ![]() Here's the original image i took, with the basic IR action only ![]() Here's a actual photo which i had 3 exposures of, combined using the HDR method. ![]() Hope this will be of some use to some of you guys. ------------------------- Here's some links you all can read about HDR as well: http://www.luminous-landscape.com/tutorials/hdr.shtml http://www.cambridgeincolour.com/tut...amic-range.htm http://radio.weblogs.com/0110138/sto...Panoramas.html |

. Nonetheless it is a very good effort by Vortex. I like it. Like the rest I will try to experiment with this when time permits. |

I have been toying around with HDR for color and IR for sometime now and still trying to get better results.
Here are a couple of shots, Sentosa Outing in March this year. Shot RAW, different exposure levels adjusted in s/w, HDR processed Usual IR pp ![]() HDR pp ![]() Usual IR pp ![]() HDR pp ![]() |

How about CBD/Shentonway shoot? Simple, easy access and....I never shoot in the CBD before...he he
By the way, Andy, wah, I kena poison deep deep already. I've been reading up about your grd. Pretty good classic camera, especially with the WA convertor and hood and viewfinder. And its 28mm fixed lens! Very classic! Now thinking to which toy to sell to come out with the $$ to buy one. Last edited by TrailsofLife; 15th September 2006 at 02:05 PM. |
