Hi Teerex,

Interesting series.
Can't wait for my mod cam to try it out.
Just wondering, what if you shoot in RAW files and change the WB???
Hope to be able to organise one Night cum IR outing soon.

WB was set at 18% gray, same as what I used in the Pasir Ris outing. There's very little difference in the results if using 18% gray or bight green grass.

Patience my friend, yours is on the way.

Shooting RAW with AWB you mean? Have not tried that. You and Stan my like the "ghostly look" as he mentioned Imagine doing night IR in a cemetry.

I did convert some to B&W, but thought that with some lights in color would look interesting.

Seems that we won't able to see much details on the IR night pictures. Am I rite to say that?

I don't think so.
May need longer shutter speed to overcome this problem.

Francis - those shots were all handheld. You know me, too lazy to carry a tripod around.

Francis may be right, longer shutter speed and smaller aperture may be able to bring up more details.

Hi Teerex,

Maybe we can give it a try when I get my cam.
I was thinking, if you expose it for ISO200, f11 and 8" on Tripod, will that be sufficient or maybe we still need to increase the exposure timing or do a +EV.

Francis,

f/8, 4sec and f/11, 8sec may work to bring up details. That more or less the same settings for normal night photography.

Can get some guys who's interested together and we go try. But need tripod lei!

I will try to organise one Night cum IR Outing when I settle with my cam. Meeting Matt later this evening.
But I suspect even with the normal night photography setting, it might be underexpose hence need to +EV. Just my suspicion, hope to do a try out to clear the doubt. Cheerz.
