I cleaned everything including the CCD with the help of my frenz, but yet, I still see a dot on the top right corner...
Do you all think by sending in to FujiFilm will help to clear the dot away? And what if it still stuck there after getting it back?? It is seenable even at f2.8. Until f8, the dot is even sharper! OMG... I know the cleaning will cost 80+.. but... anyone know whats the exact amt?... sigh... im so sad ... ![]() |

$89.25 iirc for my friends S2pro.
Actually, they also said that they cannot 100% get it 100% cleaned. And also, sometimes is the CCD itself got scratches etc due to earlier careless DIY cleaning. |

Now, can only wait for them to call me to collect my baby. |

hopefully they can clean your s3pro. Now I am not sure if I am going to DIY clean my s3pro. The problem with fujifilm is that they charge so much higher than the rest in cleaning the CCD. $89...
And DIY cleaning seems to be not very effective sometimes. I am afriad I will let in more dust during cleaning.... |

I hope that you are aware that the $90 bucks spent is for the technician to do exactly what the rest of us do, rub the sensor with Eclipse. Any I have heard of people still seeing dust spots on the cam after cleaning by service centre (Nikon, though, not Fuji). And lastly, unless you don't shoot at any place dust-free, you'll get dust in there again.
Don't worry about rubbing the sensor harder to get rid of dust. It is very difficult to scratch glass. Be brave. Do it. I had some bad spots, took 12 rounds of rubbing to get rid of. |
