no more.. S3Pro
however, there's othe S3Pro UV/IR available in the market now for a whooping S$3.5k++. even that, u've to order it online. u can check with MS Colors and see if they are bringing any in. i think there's a market for this UV/IR DSLR. i will get one if its readily available in the local market. but if its ordering from overseas... the S5Pro will be announced soon. expected to retail for around... S$3.5k+-!!! yes!!! u read it first in ClubSnap!!!! 10MP n 10MP(DR). FujiFilm will market it as 20MP+ DSLR! yes, i'm dreaming.ok, not serious there. let's all stay tuned for more news.

wow, so the new S5 is already out...it's worth a wait to see the specs. altho it's a 10MP+10MP CCD, the buffer speed and high-speed shooting should be decent also...the s3 pro's 1.5fps is really disappointing and limiting.

Would consider the D80 if I do not have CF card. Bought many 1 GB cards a few years ago, which used to cost quite abit.

While it is true that Fujifilm has leaked of a possible "S5 Pro", though whether that will become reality, it is probably better to wait and see. Their recent e-newsletter did hint of something to be announced by this month end (or sooner). tokww - There are still numerous S3 Pros for sale, 2nd hand. And they are good cameras. However, that said, it is still a niche group of users who'd truly appreciate the beauty (the sensor) within the beast (the body). |

but there're reasons to belif so that the new FujiFilm F-Mount DSLR will be aptly named S5. they are skipping the no.4 ... inauspicious to them, i guess. anyway, by the time they start to sell the S5, it'll be jus nice, timing-wise! expect it to hit the shelves next feb, before chinese new yr. its 10X10MP. yes it's true!!!! ![]()

I just spoke to a recently departed (no he didn't die) Fuji rep They have downsized a bunch of them lately.
Anyway, he confirmed that there is a S5 on the way. He said they didn't use the S4 name as it might be confused with the Nikon F4 and maybe there is an S4 as well. Anyway, he had no details except that the camera exists and will be released soon. Perhaps at PhotoKina. Too bad not at PhotoExpo in New York in November. |
