Default Vivatar 285HV or Metz 32Z1???

hey there...
i am now using the s602z and considering getting a flash to go along with this camera...
i am wondering whats the pros and cons of each?
as far as i know...the vivitar is heavier...but the flash is stronger compared to the other...
the metz is compact in size...
hmz...anyway please dont ask me to go down to the shops and test them out physically....
i have to get either of them online coz they are not sold here....
so will really appreciate any constructive feedbacks...
thanks...btw any good online site to recommend?
to my knowledge...both flashes are around the same prices....

PS...can also recommend other flashes..not neccessary these two only...budget less than 300....will consider higher budget if its really that damn good....thanks

you're here in Singapore or overseas?

if you're in Singapore, some shops actually selling these 2 flashes, I think FotoGuide sells the Vivitar one.

Well, i got the Metz because i did not need big flash and reach..The 285 is also physically bigger than the Metz. So, think what you will need it for most of the time.

But the Metz allows you to swivel and tilt. This gives you a lot of flexibility when you take potraits. This is a big advantage the Metz has over other flash.

In Spore, you can get it at about 170-180 at the shops. The 285 is going for slightly cheaper, about 140. So price wise, not a big difference, but i will go for the Metz, am using it myself (hope this helps)

if you're in the US, you could try getting the Sunpak Super 383 from B & H Photo.
