Are the limited lens from pentax the best among the breed?

Pentax Limited lens have excellent build and excellent optics, made of aluminum and optics offer sharp image. They are possibly one of the best.

![]() And I'm very satisfied with the results got from them: Ds+31LE: ![]() Ds+43LE: ![]() Ds+77LE: ![]() I'm sure alot here can get better results even without using these LE lenses, but to me, they are just the best, and they are the main reason that I'm staying with Pentax ... Cheers, |

The pancake lens sure look very attractive! Must be light, compact and easy to carry around.

Those pancakes do look kinda cool. I guess you'd get the DA70 too when it comes to the market

Just curious guys..
why are these lenses called "Limited" ? Is it because they have a limited production run and no longer manufactured? |

And why Limited? Given these very refined details, it is easily understood that lenses such as these do not roll of the assembly line in great quantities. The daily output maybe limited, but the lifetime of the lens most certainly is not. |
