Any owner of Fuji cam using XD card and CompactDrive PD7X?
My PD7X can't read my FujiFilm 16MB & 1GB H XD card...

Can your PD7X read your XD card?

I own a PD7X and thought the xD reader bit on PD7X was not working. Well, for some reason, the reader only albe to detect xD card of 512Mb. I am not too sure about the H xD card but mine is the normal one. How about paying EastGear a visit and check with them. I am sure they are more than happy to answer your queries. That was how I got mine answered - people in EastGear do look into long term relationship with their customers.

Ok, I actually email EastGear and they replied that PD70X aslo support normal xD card.
No support for the newer 'H' or 'M' xD Card.
Same for PD7X.

Tried both 1gb "H" n "M" card. seem ok. all image transfered.

i have a PD70X and a 1Gb 'H' card.

on my last trip, the first time i backup the xd card it was successful and all files were transferred. i continued to use the xd card without formatting it and during the 2nd transfer, it "hang" after transferring 3 files... very weird...

i did some experiment and think that maybe have to format the xd card after each transfer... just my guess here... will try out again on my next trip...

just my experience... ymmv...

i tried PD70X with 1 Gig xD type H last nite, no problem.

Few days ago the PD70X read my 256MB xD with problem, ended corrupted files.

My guess is inconsistencies for PD70X and xD card.

Btw, my PD70X is still with the first firmware, I did not upgrade it. Not sure if upgraded will cause problems with type H card.

I bought a xD to CF adapter and my PD7X can read & backup the xD Card liao.

Just tried the adapter to tranfer a few pic.. to me ok lah..
At least no need to change my PD7X.

WRONG !

They are located at #06-73. Just bought it and tested it working perfectly with CF reader.
