Hi
Anyone knows when this is coming to S'pore? It was said to be Sept but seems like there's not much talk about it yet. Looking forward to this since there's no stock or Tamron 17-50 for nikon mount. Give up liao! |

well .. i did .. but was over my budget .. think it's abt $800+
and i didn't read good user reviews .... so would like to consider the tokina since their old 28-70 and 28-75 range have been good ![]() |

well .. think i'll sit on this one and wait for the tokina and any reviews.
Called up CP as they are the distributors and they said 'no sound' yet. |

http://iamacow.multiply.com/photos/album/6 - All photos taken with the 18-50 f2.8 If you wonder, no I don't crop my photos. Get a sharp copy and you'll be in love with the lens. Check out the 2nd hand lense as above, definitely worth a look.. don't always need to buy new (IMHO almost never worth it). |

$1580++ ??? So expensive... add 300 you got the 17-55 2.8 IS canon one...
the tamron and sigma one sounds more pocket friendly for me >_< |

check the price on their web site for other lenses and compare with actual selling price here for a calculated guess of the selling price.

The Tokina 16-50mm should be a co-design lens with Pentax. Pentax should have the same lens for their DSLR.
Available end of November... |

Selling price in Japan is ¥49800 from an expansive shop but actual selling price in Spore is S$545 so what do you think?

984 / 545 = 1580 / X
X = 1580 / 984 x 545 X = 875.1016 mhmmm... still slightly higher than the sigma / tamron one... but quite affordable ^____^ |

Hmmm .. if it's $800+ then it's very close to the price of the Sigma. But definitely higher than the Tamron.
