Pretty well done using a non-SLR camera. I know many dSLR shooters could not capture the flying jets.

I am also surprised why there shouldn't be more members posting their shots here. Maybe, some of them got great shots, but wanna to keep for themselves.

I remember after the AA airshow, there were quite a few awesome shots.

The skies in most pictures above are post-processed because the timing of the day wasn't really ideal as the dynamic range is too large to have both the subject and sky be properly exposed.

The rainbow is for fun.

Here's another shot of that artillery gun in the morning one day earlier :

The Chinook was taking off after leaving 2 vehicles on the ground and landed briefly. Then I quickly switched from the smallest aperture F/8 (to have a slowest shutter speed) in the previous shots to the widest aperture F/2.8 to freeze the rotating blades in the picture above.

Here's a picture of it shot with F/8 just before it landed briefly.

Yeh, I was expecting to see many nice shots of F16s and F5s with lots of details posted in this forum but so far nothing much. Those shots from AA a few months back were really stunning.

My camera doesn't have enough reach to catch the fighter planes with much details when they are high up flying. The closest I got to them was during their landings and I couldn't get as vivid details as those with long zooms on DSLRs. These 2 panning shots are quite similar in composition to those already posted by others :

Haha. I have quite a no. of shots on the provost display but another forumer has already shown many provost shots in this forum. I chose to show this picture because he looked as if his rifle was super heavy .... although I think his face would probably be better framed if it's a little higher in the frame.

The provost display was already pretty well covered in the pictures posted by Stanly in his thread : http://forums.clubsnap.org/showthread.php?t=220272

I was standing at about the third row from the front and got blocked by lots of heads in front. So couldn't do very much in terms of compositions and shot by holding my camera with my outstretched hands above my head.

Here's a short video (less than 1 minute) of the provost display taken by my Nikon camera and you can see where I was shooting from :

Here's another provost picture :

that sounds like me. Click click, either shoot head or tail but never full aircraft.

I'd set my camera to shoot 3 fps but after the first shot below (showing the first paratrooper jumping out of the C130), my camera battery went flat and I had to change battery and as a result, missed shooting the rest of this scene.

Guess you must have taken like 500 or more shots at the show. Actually shooting itself doesn't take up that much juice; the culprit is the LCD, especially those huge 2.5inch or even 3inch LCDs.
