A-100 Firmware Update

Applicable version: Ver. 1.00 and 1.01

The firmware update is to:
1. Address the symptom that in very rare cases, RAW format files may not be opened by the supplied image control software, Picture Motion Browser.
2. Improve image gradation when the shutter speed is 1 sec or longer.
3. Improve printed picture quality when the image is printed by Epson(R) printer under PRINT Image Matching.

For this, I think sony support is better.
Just launch not long and they have firmware upadte already.

Use this link for A-100 bought in this part of the region...ie Malaysia, Singapore.....

The firmware is region specific it seems.

That's why they still charge a premium for their product. Have to pay the firmware programmer.

Need to use the correct region firmware, or it won't upgrade.

juz upgraded mine sftw..ok leh...u shld try copy direct to ur cf card...its much faster..less than 1 min

If you have not tried yet, the Australia version of the firmware is available at the AP Site as well. A different link at the download page where you select either Windows or Mac OS platform.

till now, the online petition we signed about firmware upgrades for 7D is still not getting any response. sigh.

This is a better option. They may have some unreleased beta firmware version.
