Nop, it turn out good. My frenz have try with 2MP and it turn out good.

Try to capture shot with max resolution, 1600x1200 and used SuperFine compression. Crop to ratio 4:5 and it should turn out fine.

    I thought S8R is 8" x 12", so ratio is 2:3

Printed my Super 8R digital pics with my 2MP (1600x1200). No problem at all. Its very nice and sharp too.

If you are worried that 2MP might not have enough resolution, you may want to resample the pics using ps7 to about 2400x1800 (remember to select bicubic).

    Have fun

i guess 8R only works well for people portraits and maybe macros, but i doubt night shots will come out well.

how is the quality like if I just use normal compression instead of Superfine compression for the photos that I print taken from a A40 ?

any difference ? not much ?
going away on a trip, using 'large' and 'normal' can let me take more pics hehe

nice if ur pic has shades and colour patches... but if u print stuff with fine lines then erm expect some mone wasted....
can try stepping resolution increases and then do a major USM on the final product...
generally for hanging up and not close scrutiny though.

Lemme dispel the myth. 8R from a 2megapixel camera is entirely possible. I have been doing that from my 3 year old Coolpix 950 (2 megapixel) and printing via a $300+ Epson printer. The $250,000 machine the labs uses should be more than capable.
