Didn't know we can buy model for $500-$550

    Just kidding, welcome to ClubSNAP.

It depends on what your sister prefer on her camera,
ultra compact, compact, prosumer (with more manual control on camera).

And what photos she like to shoot, travel (wide angle), clubbing (camera good for high ISO), animal (high zoom) etc.

You can find more camera information on this website also

If you want anti-shake and its a must, go for the F20 ($499) or the slightly more expensive S3 IS ($699?) or buy a S2 ($500?). There are also other Canon IXUS with IS but they're may not be as good as the S3 or the F20 i reckon..

The Panasonic one also has antishake but the Fuji and the Canon ones seem better in quality.

F20 is Fujifilm. Go to Cathay Photo at Peninsular Plaza 1st floor or Alan Photo in Funan Centre 5th Floor.

is Nikon Coolpix S5 and S6 good enough?

    i checked on this site..
    http://www.dpreview.com/reviews/specs/Nikon/

the price is in USD, but i convert the currency.
    also within my budget.

    for S5, is 304.00 USD = 477 SGD
    as S6, is 334.00 USD = 524 SGD

A girl will like a camera with nice design... Prosumer cameras are definitely out.... Canon IXUS series and Sony Cybershot series have nice design, small and compact.... Everything a girl will want in a camera.

Fujifilm F30 is getting quite good review, add the high ISO3200 pretty good.
I have seen the print out on A4 with ISO1600, looks ok too.

My colleague bought IXUS 60. She bought it because it looks good, so simple and straight forward. She dint ask anything about functions nor features. Canon loves folks like these.

    Hi CY,

    Apologies for the late response.
If u are paying by cash it would be $510 + 5% GST = $533
If paying by credit card it would be $548.
It comes with the 512MB memory stick.
Look for Kelvin at Cathay photo in penisular plaza.

Let me know if u need any other info...

You can actually check out on some prices through my signature link (http://valuestoreonline.com) on most of the digital cameras. All the prices are in USD and the conversion rate is 1.6.
Hope you can get more info. Thanks.
