Queries on k100D

I'm a newbie to DSLR. While reading the Pentax K100D brochure came across this :
Viewfinder magnification - 0.85x (with 50mm f1.4 lens, -1-1)
Can anyone explain to me thanks.

Basically the bigger the mag factor the better. D/Ds has about 0.92-0.95x, while DL/K100D is 0.85x. Still alot better than those C/N entry level dSLR cameras
