Default A few snapshots on Last day of Comex

Went there to buy a powerex battery charger & a portable hdd today.

The crowd is really huge on Sunday, very difficult to walk thru the crowd, very little shooting chance or space available.

So took only a few quick snapshots in the process:

Must show support for Peggy of course..

Same 2 girls I met at HiFi Show a few weeks ago..

plethora is a bit far from me.. blocked by crowds so cant get any better angles..

IMHO after looking at hundreds of photos on CS..... CSers tend to over use zoom lens. That mistake separates pros from amateurs. You made it into COMEX, a pretty girl with hot body is standing there smiling... so whaddya do? Shoot a head shot. How many fashions show photos have we seen here on CS that are head shots.... countless. Bikini shoots... same head shots. And, horizontal shots of course... with lotsa dead space on one side. And, of course, watermarked 'cause someone might steal those heads.

What's wrong with a head shot?

Hi all,

Thanks for the comments!

It's hard to get decent pics at the Comex, especially during weekends, too bad cannot take leave to go down on weekdays..

Errr... bro, r u talking about me huh?

Not sure.. but I'll try to answer anyway, in case your doubts r directed to me:

1) I am not using a zoom lens (in case u r refering to me, if not, nvr mind)
2) Becos I use a fixed 85mm lens, and due to the tight space & huge crowd, most of the time I can only take the head shots of the model. Cannot zoom out. Unless I shoot other part of her body without the head.. but that will be a bit... ermmm...
3) This is not fashion show.. (wonder why pple always mistaken tt I am shooting fashion show..)
4) Dead space.. yup, my tendency is to allow some head room, maybe it's my habit.
5) Watermark- not becos I am afraid tt pple might steal those pics, but a measure to protect the models, to reduce the likelihood that some pple in other forums will leech the pics and joke abt the models.

If your questions r not directed to me, never mind too, think some of my answer might hv answer part of your doubts. Cheers bro

I reckon you have shoot alot already, so why you u share with us what is wrong? I've never seen u explain anything... any your post with the exception of those that you rent out your equipment has never been more than 2 lines.

Given your professionalism and wealth of experience, please do share with the rest of us what is wrong with head shots and why taking more will change that?
