nikon d80 made in thailand

i noticed the new d80's body is made in thailand. will there be any performance diff if the body is made in japan or thailand?

to answer you question regarding the parts with the cam, you'll have to call 65596360 to enquire. I doubt anyone of us has opened up the camera to have a look within to tell you if they were MIJ or not.

I doubt there will be any difference in performance but if made in japan , i am sure the performance in price will be a BIG diff for sure

I doubt there would be any difference too. I'm very satisfied with the quality, built and calibration of the D70s and the D200. The tolerance for D70 (without s) calibration was a bit loose but I believed they tightened up the QC subsequently. The Thais are doing a fantastic job.
