wonder why the majority of them were using M-16s instead of the usual MkII/4 wooden rifles....

There are not M16s, but AR15s. You can tell as they have no forward-assist. They had been AR15s for quite a few years already.

Stanly, very nice. Like these shots very much.

coz MKII too damn heavy, but good weight balance. The AR15 is light but a bit off balance, that is why the mag is taken out to compensate i guess. The idea started in 97' for using the AR15...

When I was there we still used the MKII and the MKIV, not sure why they started to use AR15 for their drills, you can do rotation on the AR15 but the thick rifle grip makes it harder to grip.

Nice show, the MPs. But, where are the birds? On land or in the air?

Yes, this is called differentiation.
My lens at 300mm was barely enough, got to crop sooo much.

Thats why the folks dunt really have to train as much physically as before? MPs seems to come in all shapes and sizes lately.

Anyway I was standing 20 cms to the right of Stanly....I dont suppose my shots will be anything more interesting?
