Default Does NSC charges for Viewfinder Cleaning?

Hi fellow Nikonians, I got a problem here.. Found a small streak of hair inside my viewfinder yest.. At 1st I thought its something on the sensor, so I tried blowing it but after blowing for nearly 30 mins, its still there. The small streak of hair doesn't affect pic quality, but I juz feel uncomfortable to see it there. Btw anyone knows how come hair or other particles can get into the viewfinder one? Coz i seldom change lens and when I do, I am always very careful..

I am thinking of bring it down to NSC tml to ask them to clean the viewfinder for me.. But dunno whether they will charge for it anot.. My cam is still under warranty.. 2 months back, I juz bought my cam down for sensor cleaning. I heard the sensor cleaning is only free the 1st time then after that its chargeable liao.. Anyone knows whether Nikon charges for sensor or viewfinder cleaning when under warranty?? Most imptly is viewfinder cleaning.. But if chargeable, I am thinking whether its more worth it for me to wait a few more months then send it for sensor + viewfinder cleaning together..

Now that you brought it up, i think mine has as well. It disappears when i off the camera but reappears when i on the camera(D70), but mine is out of warranty so no point getting it cleaned up... Small hairline on the middle near the focus point. Doesnt affect picture quality though..

It could actually literally be a piece of hair thats got into the viewfinder, its happened to me before, usually just using a blower around the viewfinder gets rid of it.

I know there are conducters, but i doubt the TS would have described it like a hair if it wasnt actually a piece of hair. The conducters dont really look like hairs.

I not sure about your case I have ask NSC to clean for me for free under warrantly.
But later I learn that it is at my focus screen so I do it myself.

YMMV

If it doesn't require dismantaling, it should be free under warranty.

mine was free, CCD cleaning, checking, regular maintainence and all. warranty for the D200 would still be valid since the D200 hasn't been out in the market for more than a year.
