Nikon - International Warranty Policy

I have a few questions on this topic. Hope to get some information.

1. If we buy Nikon body, lens or flash from overseas, are they covered by international warranty? i.e NSC Singapore will honour the warranty?

2. If the answer to Q1 is "It depends", then depends on what factors and how do we know if they will be honoured by NSC Singapore?

3. I can see that some WTS items are bought from overseas and the sellers claim they are covered by international warranty. When buying such items, what should we look out for to make sure there is really "international warranty"?

Thanks, yes for clearing my previous sentence. what I ment is for this thread to be made a sticky as a reference for others. Not the link as a sticky per say.
