    Default Dress Your Desktops

    Hi all,

Lately, I've been changing my desktop wallpapers too often - just for variety's sake. I was just thinking maybe we could have a thread where we can post photos made for the desktop. As long as its a photograph, and it's your original work.

    Some typical resultions are:
    800x600
    1024x768
    1152x768
    1280x1024
    1600x1024

    For a start, here's mine:

Sorry but I think photos for desktop should be sharp edge to edge. If there is not enough DOF then you will get tired of looking at your desktop as only a small area of the photos are in focus. Just my opinion.

thanks for your comment, i happen to feel that a deep DOF on desktops gives space for folder and other icons to stand out. I just think desktops shouldn't be complicated. but well, lotsa sharp desktops are excellent!!! love to see some.

True! I hate my icons being lost in a sea of colours due to the background.

Don't have any special desktop wallpaper. It is usually a family photo cropped and size reduced to fit the resolution and border added to make it look like a photo frame. I'll usually change the photos every 2-3 months just for variety sake. To me, that is the most personal touch to my PC.

My wall-paper changes frequently too... There are free-ware out there to rotate favorite pictures as desktop wallpaper. Its more 're-freshing' that way... = )
