    I just got a whole bag of filters last night, a friend brought them from China for me. Not only can you get bluer blues, but also gorgeous orange, and a host of different coloured-effects. And inexpensive, too!

    You should have started a thread in the Nikon subforum. NSC is at Fuji-Xerox Tower (Formerly IBM Tower) at Anson Road.

    Instead of using a circular polarizer, will changing the white balance setting in the camera to 'tungsten' help achieve the same blue sky effect?

    Yes! And blue clouds, blue buildings, blue face as well..
