Nikkor 18-200mm VR lens with teleconveter

I wonder if it is possible to use Nikkor 18-200mm VR lens with any teleconverter??

No u cannot use the Teleconverter with 18-200mm

If u do, u may damaged the rear element.

But generally summary.
If you are using a Nikon Teleconverter (1.4X, 1.7X or 2.0X), it is not possible.
If you are using a 3rd party Teleconverter (Kenko), still possible. (But please don't quote me )

true, but one would have to be VERY careful to use the Nikon TCs. as not to use the wide ranges as the lens' rear element would come into contact with the TC.
And bec of this, I would NOT recommend it at all!

Sigh....actually i asking this question becos all the 400mm zoom lens is out of stock at the moment....

sell away ur 18-200vr and get the 70-200vr. then u can safely add a 2x nikon teleconverter and use it to all ur joy

if on a budget, why not try out mirror lenses? cheaper, smaller and lighter.
