I am thinking of gettnig a wide-angled lens,
is Nikkor AF 20mm/2.8 the recommended one to get ? or the NIKON 12-24mm f/4G IF ED AF-S DX NIKKOR ? advice would be much appreciated ![]() |

20mm is good, cheaper faster and lighter than the zoom.

My recommendation is the 12-24 f/4.
Sharpness did loses out to the prime 20mm but it is much wider and more versatile to use due to the fact that it is a wide zoom lens. ![]() If you want to try it out, can give me a call 96456423, we can meet up somewhere in cityhall area and I don't mind to let you try mine. ![]()

i happen to have both. but i will recommend 12-24 f4 as it is much more versatile. the AFS is another plus point.
