Hi guys,
I am looking at F11, but found that F20 has recently been released. It seems to be cheaper than F11 from the US sites that I have found. Anyone has seen F20 selling in Singapore yet? |

if manual control is impt. to u, then don't bother w F20 - it's the lesser version of F30, probably targeted at the lower budget users who still desire the performance of the super ccd, altho the max iso is 2000 vs 3200.
F20 is selling at Comex for $499 w/free gifts. ![]() Last edited by micah4; 1st September 2006 at 11:35 AM. |

I visited MS Color yesterday and they are selling the F20 at $499 with free 1GB xD card, mini tripod and case. Over there there's less crowd and thus more time to test the camera. Also, the price of F11 has dropped to $399 with free 512MB xD card over at MS Color.
Tempting.. BTW, ISO for F20 is up to 2000, and it has a slightly smaller form compared to F30.. |

What leaflet did u see? At MS Color at AMK, F30 is $599 with 1Gb xD, mini tripod & case, but for this Comex period, they are bundling an additional battery and screen protector without additional charge. |

it's only "ISO1600 on Auto and Manual Mode". U can hit ISO2000 only on "Picture Stabilization and Natural Light Mode". But it now comes with, as this thread title states, "Picture Stabilizer" which F30 does not hv.
...again no manual features/controls. |

Icic.. Seems that F30 may be a better deal as it comes with 1GB XD card instead of 512 for F20 and the extra batt and screen protector.. Does F30 comes with any manual modes? Eg. Aperture Priority, Shutter Priority?

the feature is also found in F11....it's nothing new - just that you have to get into the menu to set the feature. yes...F30 has Aperture P and Shutter P mode - also just like F11. |

So is the picture stabilization mode on F20 an image stabilising function or just boost of the ISO to get higher shutter speed? If it is the latter, den no point liao, I might as well get F30..

the pic stabilizer works same as the F30's Anti-blur - it increases the iso automatically to raise the shutter speed thereby reducing blur.

how does the Z3 compare to the F20 in terms of image quality, low-light performance particularly?

From what I have heard and seen so far, the best low-light performance for Fuji will be the F-series.. F10, F11 and F30.. I never tried or seen the F20 in actions before.. But from the specs, it will seem to be on par with F30.. So I will presume that in terms of image quality, Z3 and F20 maybe not too far apart but low-light performance, F20 wins hands-down..

Hmm... The F20 certainly does look like a good deal, for no brainer shoots without thinking too much and all u'll wanna do is juz snap.
$500 for the F20... Sigh... To think I paid $800 for my first PnS. ![]()
