    getting those kitchen stuff for my new place. U know the hob, some got smaller fire, some got bigger fire. was wondering how often will 1 get to use big fire to cook. (wife seldom cook and i know nutz abt cooking)

    big fire is for cooking with chinese wok
    ang mo frying pan, do not need the big fire

    careful if you're buying the hob. Some Euro brand is made for "ang mo" cooking meaning when you put a chiness wok on it, it won't sit properly. You'll also need to see how much space you have for the hob. With regards to the fire, as a general rule of thumb, asian style of cooking needs bigger fire.

    the wok will hit the centre of the fire thing right? got convertor for that one.. my house using.

    not really, usually euro ones is more ex. try going down to Courts ( the bigger outlets ) and take a look, they have a wide range there

    i agree with the hot plate thing

    and the too near each other is a good point.
    best to let the wifey decide. after all it is her kitchen
