Default Chances of buying a VC grip for 7D

Are there any chances of getting a VC grip for my 7D anywhere locally?

How much will it cost now?

Its from this guy called Andersen, who advertised it on PhotoMalaysia at RM1380. Don't like dealing with him. He got some stuff from overseas (including the VC-7D) and he sells them at very high price to make exorbitant profits.

I don't think there is anyway you can get the VC-7D from KL or anywhere else in Malaysia. I got mine from John 3:16 last year (Nov or Dec).

with the amount of oil and alcohol he's used, all it takes is one burst of continuous drive to set the 7d alight, and barbeque some satay...

.......................

btw, is it safe to lean the lens at an angel to the ground? i noticed when the grip is on, the only way to place it is having the grip on the floor with the tip of the lens. gives the feeling that a force is being exerted on the lens mount.

oh, and what is the conneting ring on the left side of the grip for? can seem to find any use for it.
