Default is this enough of a basic setup for wedding photography?

for covering ROM, tea ceremonies and outdoor :

    1. nikon f80 + 28-80mm lens
    2. sb50DX speedlight
    3. 70-300mm lens (trying to figure out if this is *really* needed)
    4. film used : portra400 VC

    and lots of luck

U'll need a spare body and spare lenses...24-70 F2.8 Sigma is a good one for such purpose, if not, a 20mm prime makes a good back up too.

I do carry my 70-200 for wedding shoots, but I found myself hardly a chance to use it, other than outdoor weddings.

    Hope these helps. Good luck!

for me, i used to carry these for my wedding shootout:-

    1) Two F90X with MB10.
    2) Metz flash, 45CL-4.
    3) SB28 for spare.
    4) Nikon 28mm-105mm macro lens.
    5) Sigma 28mm-105 for spare.
    6) Battery pack for Metz flash.
    7) Nikon 70mm-300mm just in case.
    8) Agfa Vista 200 and 400 film.

Agfa film gives a very nice red colour tones. Normally
like it very much for wedding shots.
