i guess you used flash for these shots?

#1 coupling damselfly is nice. But the background of #2 is better (but one of the partner is oof due to thin DOF of f5.6. =)

#3 I like the background of the picture. Very creamy and nice colors.

#4 Best shot of the lot I feel. Like the sharpness and the picture looks almost as if the spider tore up the leaf from the bottom left hand corner.

I used flash for the jumping spider but the other ones where without flash.
#1 and #2 well here goes the compromise, close the aperture and the partner is in focus but the background is less blurry as well or leave it open for nice blurry background and loose the partner....
