hi bro,
Got what you trying to mean by the title. But in this case, its pretty difficult to compose to include the background without compromising the foreground. The foreground greens demand more attention then the picture i feel. shoot more! regards, tltan |

I mean the foreground greens are competing for attention with your smaller flower and the background which is what you want to portray I believe....=) I also newbie in this and I feel its a difficult composition to include such concrete background and a soft flower. The balance must be important in this case. What you want to portray must stand out against what you want the viewer not to see. What am i talking about? Regards, tltan |

Thanks for yr explaining. What I was trying to potray is to get the flower to be as sharp as possible and to get the rest, the greens and the picture behind to be as soft as possible. As I am a newbie, I still do not know how to get all the setting right. FYI, I am using D50 Nikon and I took this picture using the macro dial. Cheers. |
