Default KM 17-35mm and 28-75mm lens

Interesting..
KM 17-35mm f2.8-4 lens is made in Japan.. but 28-75mm f2.8 is made in China..
Anyone has the version made in Japan for 28-75mm?

The earlier batch of 28-75 f2.8 was made in Japan. Seen one before from one of the brother here. Think he had sold it and jump ship already.

These 2 lens are not in SONY lens range due to the fact that they are almost identical to Tamron version..
C and N doesn't have any range of lens that are identical with 3rd party lens..

you sure? nikon have 17-35 f2.8 and 28-70 f2.8 while canon have 16-35 f2.8 and 24-70 f2.8. just that price are

Sorry.. it's not the C and N doesn't have these range.. it's just that Minolta lenses are almost identical - looks the same as Tamron...
Just wonder if the Minolta version is better than Tamron..
Minolta version is more expensive..

Minolta version is more expensive..
for some funny reasons tamron version is slightly more exp than minolta's version. found out this when i was hunting for a KM/Tamron 28-75 earlier this year. i searched before dpreview forums and someone did mention that KM's coatings are better than Tamron's

Hmm.. from ebay, KM version of 28-75 is more expensive than Tamron version..
