    Default Are we allowed to shoot using camera plus external flash for pop/rock concerts?

    would be going for a concert next month, so wondering whether it's allowed in Singapore. Was in Hong Kong and everyone was shooting away merrilily.

    Check with the organisers. As an audience, I'd prefer people NOT to shoot with flash during the concert.

    Gee how lucky, in Australia taking an SLR to a concert (as opposed to a gig) isn't usually permitted, except with prior arrangement with the promoter and or band. Disposable cameras don't seem to be a problem though.

    nope, not allowed (at least that was the rule the last time i shot at a pop concert).

    oh wait are you talking about as a sanctioned photog or as part of the audience?

    well, to be honest, unless you're super close to the stage, any kinda flash would be quite useless anyway. only way is to select your highest ISO setting, open up the aperture and hope for the best.

    and nah, i don't sleep late. i work late.

    would just try.... hopefully, I'm seated within 20m from the stage... and within range for the flash
