Default Finding New Enlarger Lens

Hiz,

Does anyone know where I can buy a new enlarger lens?

Its for 35mm film format so guess it should be 50mm or 60mm, hopefully a schneider f/2.8 or there about and my budget is currently 300 plus. I don't really know the market, is my budget too low for a schneider?

I checked out CP and Ruby, they don't carry.

All comments appreciated. Thanks!

1. eBay.

2. Clubsnap B&S.

3. TCW

$300+ is plenty.

If you want to use it for black and white you won't need an APO lens.........Componon-S or Rodagon are more than good enough...

get a used one, as these lenses are not used much, check for the coating and aperture, thse should be much cheaper than buying a new one.

If u dun print bigger than 8R from ur 35mm,u can consider an 80mm instead.

i use the rodenstock APO Rodagon-N 80mm F4 for printing 35mm,xpan and 6x6/7 negative.

Hi,

Thanks Kex, din know that I could use 80mm too, cos most place I went recomends only up to 60mm max. But i guess I'll have to consider about the 8R max size factor.

Yupz, I'm only doing black and white now. Got some offers on Rodagon and Componar, guess will consider amongst them. Thanks.
