Default Expiring

Dying petal of yet another unknown flower to me... D70 with Ultra-Micro-Nikkor 28/1.8.

The dof is too low for me to see a part of a petal. So the photo wouldn't work on its own. Furthermore, if expiry is to be hinted, consider a duller orange.

Thank you on the heads-up on the naming the subject. Perhaps, I should wait for a week or so before doing this again. As for DOF, I've always like to work with a narrow one, so it is more of a habit than anything. Here's one at f0.8...

hi regit,

I like the second pic more.

As for thin DOF, I like shootin like that too.

However, I can never achieve f0.8!!!!

First pic seems too empty and portriat might work better? just my thoughts.

Thank you for the comment, tltan Looks like the negative space here is not working Here's one people shot, not quite f0.8, but at f1

Its not that negative space doesnt work. hehe. But the subject doesnt tell that strong unlike your second shot. Your ppl shot at f1. what a narrow DOF. I guess that was shot in very dim condition.
