Well dunno about u guys but dear old SAF did called me and ask me to play a few days back. Then Carlos Queiroz had to remind him that the transfer window already closed liao ANDZ.....the Brit govt will grant me no work permit. So I resigned to my fate here.

melvin: Rossi is the one that when to Newcastle and got little 1st team experience. Then SAF sent him to Parma.

Dong Fangzhuo spent two years on loan at Royal Antwerp until he was eligible to play in England. In his first season in Belgium, he was the league's top scorer with 17 goals, and scored 35 goals in 61 games during his time at Antwerp.

Looks like the English teams will finally meet each other if they make it to the semis. How is AS Roma, btw? What are our chances?

Looks like the Liverpool fans here are very quiet these few days after being beaten by the devils. Now, not only they don't walk alone, they are walking very slowly too. No wonder their thread is now at page 2 and slowly slipping into page 3.

Well all 8 teams are strong but we've a great chance to make it to the final. Roma, Milan and Munich are not doing very well but Man Utd must be at full strength. Surely we must make it. But semi final 1st leg we're at home if we make it. Slight disadvantage. Very like the 1999 season. Inter at Q-final then Juv at home 1st in the semis.

Man U is definitely the fav. Their form is fantastic and they are simply hot. Their teamwork and team spirit are on cloud 9...Roma is many people's choice to drop.
But I believe otherwise. Roma has quality players in defence and midfield though I cannot say the same for strikers.
Roma has defenders like Panucci, the international veteran, Philipe Mexes whos talented and once targeted by Man U, Cristian Chivu, an all round Romanian international.
Midfielders like Wilhelmsson whos pacey and ever dangerous, De Rossi who is a young talent molded for the future, Totti whom most of the football fans know his abilities and Perrotta whos a midfield dynamo.
With them, Roma has all the capabilities to bring down Man U to earth.
Know the conflict within before facing the conflict without.

    Uefa Champions League Quarter-Finals Draw:

    Here is what I think!
    AC Milan Vs Bayern Munich
Clash of the heavy weights. They've won it a total of 10 times but past glory count for nothing, just ask RM! Milan is struggling for goals and without Ronaldo, it will be hard for them. Munich should make it thru but they're also struggling. Intriguing tie!

    PSV Vs Liverpool
Not much flair on display here, expect a boring tactical battle and counter attacks but it will be easy meat for Liverpool. They've already beaten PSV in the group stages and I can't see PSV making it. BUT! Koeman had beaten them last year with Benfica and dump Arsenal out. So......aiya, I just can't see Liverpool losing this one.

    AS Roma Vs Manchester United
Roma is 2nd in ISA and scored 2 at the Stade Gerland. Beating Lyon away is no easy task. All Italian teams are hard to beat and I can see Roma's central midfield matching Man Utd's but if Man Utd have its full squad back, the chance is very high. Man Utd will have to fancy its chance after drawing Roma and avoiding English teams in the semis.

    Chelsea Vs Valencia
This got to be the tie of the round. Valencia will be a bit weaken after their brawl but Chelsea isn't firing all cylinders yet. Still, the chance of facing Liverpool in the semis will be too good to be true for them. Chelsea is very strong, not as in they'll give u a good trashing but they're very hard to beat.

No la. Cannot predict now. Too early, injuries and form will affect the team. This is the 1st time Man Utd face Roma. Hope the injury situation will better by then. Roma's game is quite attacking and it should be a great tie.

Fletcher will be out for weeks instead of the season and saha and ole are expected to be back by the end of this month. SAF has brought the Dong along to Boro and he might unleash the Dong!

Current outright favourites odds by SG pools:

    Chelsea - $4
    Manchester United - $4.50
    Liverpool - $5
    AC Milan - $5.50
    Bayern Munich - $7.50
    Valencia - $9
    AS Roma - $11
    PSV - $15

Brit bookies' odds are also very similar.
